Veneers

Porcelain Veneers are thin shells that are precisely bonded to the surface of the tooth to correct cosmetic defects or to correct the way the teeth come together. They are very durable and can even provide additional strength to the overall tooth structure. Teeth that are slightly spaced, crooked, stained, chipped or are different lengths can be easily fixed using porcelain veneers.

In some cases Porcelain Veneers can make crooked teeth appear to be instantly straight without the need for braces and look just like natural teeth!

The procedure involves meticulous preparation by the dentist who removes a small amount of the natural tooth structure to make room for the veneers. An impression of the teeth is then taken and sent to the laboratory where they will customise the veneers to an exact fit and for the teeth. When a number of porcelain veeners are placed the smile design is customised for each patient. This usually takes two weeks. Once the custom veneers are received, the dentist will then clean the teeth and bond the veneers.
