Preventative Care Programme
Practicing good oral hygiene can reduce your chances of developing gum disease and tooth decay. This means looking after your teeth and gums everyday and visiting the dentist for a professional examination and clean every six months. To ensure optimal oral health we recommend you;
- brush your teeth at least twice a day and after meals.
- floss at least once a day, preferably at night before going to bed, to remove the accumulation of dental plaque that forms between teeth.
- use antibacterial mouthwash to remove the bacteria that cause dental plaque.
- eat a balanced nutritional diet – sugars and carbohydrates promote tooth decay.
A regular visit to your dentist for a clean will involve the removal of excessive plaque and calculus and then application of a polish to preserve the life of your teeth and prevent disease.
Ensure your mouth, teeth and gums are up to optimal health by booking an examination with our professional dentists at Dental Excellence.
