Dr Mark Dyer B.D.Sc. (Practice Principal)

Mark has practiced dentistry in The Gap and Ashgrove area since graduating from the University of Queensland in 1978. While Mark enjoys all aspects of dentistry, he has special interests in Cosmetic Reconstructive Dentistry, Crowns and Bridges, Implants, Restorative procedures and Oral Surgery (including the surgical removal of wisdom teeth).

Mark's gentle and caring manner towards his patients has contributed to building his successful practice.

His commitment to the art of dental excellence allows Mark to achieve the highest levels of clinical success for his patients. Mark enjoys working with his patients to ensure their optimal dental health and satisfaction in helping them maintain their teeth for life.

In 2006, Mark was invited to work with Dr Anders Blomberg, who runs the North Queensland Prosthodontic Practice in Townsville. He has spent some time each month working with Dr Blomberg and learning advanced restorative techniques.

Mark is an active member of the Australian Dental Association, a past President of the Vardiman Dental Study Association and regularly attends courses to stay abreast with current trends, materials and techniques.

In his free time Mark enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife Christine and his four children, bush walking, playing guitar and going to the beach.

Dr Paul Hickey B.D.Sc. (Practice Principal)

Paul graduated with honours from the University of Queensland in 1982.

He spent two years in private practice in Albany Creek as well as lecturing in Oral Pathology at the University of Queensland. Paul then spent two years in private practice in London, UK.

He has been in private practice at The Gap in Brisbane since 1989. Paul has completed extensive post-graduate training programs in Orthodontics and Implant Dentistry. He has had a special interest in Orthodontics for fourteen years and was a long-term member of the Australian Society of Implant Dentistry.

He has been a member of the Vardiman Dental Study Association since 1984 and a member of the Australian Prosthodontic Society since 1988. Other areas of special interest include Crown and Bridge dentistry and Cosmetic reconstruction using porcelain veneers.
